Purple is this season's fashion statement. But what statement are you making?
If you look up what it means to wear the color purple you will learn that people who wear purple want others to notice them. "If it is your desire to feel special and unique then purple is the right color choice. If you would like to send a message out into the world that you're one of a kind and that you could care less about conformity, then wear purple."
Or are you wearing purple because you're a fan of Yahoo!? Yahoo! has recently started their "start wearing purple" campaign that encourages people to celebrate the eccentric side of life by wearing purple.
Yahoo! believes that everyone has an inner "Yahoo!" and that wearing purple brings that out. To them, purple stands for happiness, joy, and individuality. They are asking people the question, "How purple are you?" which roughly translates to "how unique, innovative and trendy are you?"
So what does wearing purple mean to you? Is wearing purple a state of mind or is it just another color?
Here's some encouragement to 'start wearing purple'

This is a great post, I hope Kelly sees it. Working with MetroPCS, they've tossed around the idea of "owning" purple, but as your post calls out, Yahoo's got it!
There's also cymbolism.com (a link on the blog) which asks people to identify colors with words. Here's the link with the 10 words that make people think of purple: http://www.cymbolism.com/colors/view/800080
