How much are you willing to pay for those so called 'friends in low places'?

With Christmas right around the corner (sort of) I know some of you are going to be searching diligently for a gift for the person who has everything. But where can one find such gifts?

www.songvest.com

This website is an online auction that allows you to purchase the music rights to your favorite songs. So if you end up being the highest bidder- Congratulations! you're now the proud recipient of royalty checks that will start pouring in whenever your song gets played. It's the textbook definition of 'the gift that keeps on giving.'

Currently featured auctions include: Garth Brooks- "Friends in Low Places", "The Monkees" Theme song, and All 4 One's "I Swear".

Wow. there seems to be a lot going on with music and interactivity lately. Last.fm is getting recognition for its groups, such as this one for Dr. Pepper: http://www.last.fm/group/Dr+Pepper+Addicts

Consumers are more open to being associated with brands...why do you think this is?

So this Christmas, do I purchase song rights or a constellation? Hmmm, choices choices.
