we love our living rooms!

Reading through a report by IBM: The end of advertising as we know it. Pretty interesting. It gives a great read for where we will be in the near future when it comes to reaching consumers.

Multimedia will be the new "traditional" advertising speak. And some insight:

U.S. respondents report higher adoption of living-room-related devices, such as DVRs, high-definition television sets, and game consoles, but have lower adoption rates for portable devices, such as MP3 players, Internet-enabled phones and portable game players, than other countries.

It's interesting that despite all the talk about huge iPhone sales in the U.S. and the development of citywide free wifi, people are still holding on to their nesting instincts. We may not be as plugged in and constantly on the go as one might think - or we are, and people simply want to ensure they have a nice tv to come home to eventually.
